Kata is the first winemaking venture from David Beckstoffer, the eldest son of grape grower Andy Beckstoffer. Raised in the Napa Valley, David developed a connection to land and the ability to read a vineyard’s potential. Today, as the President of Beckstoffer Vineyards, David administrates some of the most sought-after vineyards. Production of Kata remains very limited and most wines are only offered to the subscribers on the mailing list. Benchmark is here to help you get your hands on these coveted bottles!
Tasting Notes

- Containing 20% Petite Sirah, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard displays a very deep purple-black color and is profoundly scented of crème de cassis, chocolate box, prunes and Indian spices with touches of dried Provence herbs, anise and raisin cake. Big, rich, full-bodied and concentrated in the mouth, the Petite Sirah certainly makes its presence known, contributing a bit of chew to the ripe, grainy Cabernet tannins and offering lingering exotic spice and Christmas pudding notions on the finish.
