Meaning “Hand-Made” in French, these wines are the personal project of Benoit Touquette. The wines come from two vineyards, Sleeping Lady, which lies just to the south of Yountville, and the Beckstoffer owned Las Piedras Vineyard in St. Helena. Of all the wines I tasted from Benoit, these are some of the finest.

This wine is primarily crafted from Merlot and Cabernet Franc, benefiting from the fossil-rich limestone terroir. The 2015 vintage is noted for its exceptional quality, with the wine displaying a perfumed bouquet of dried violets and dark berries. It offers a full-bodied profile complemented by silky tannins and a lingering finish. The production is limited, with a focus on sustainable farming practices, bridging traditional Old World elegance with modern winemaking techniques. Blend: 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Franc.
