- A 100% Merlot offering, the 2006 Faugeres Cuvee Speciale Peby comes from a southeast facing hillside site on limestone soils. It is one of the most concentrated wines of the vintage. Big and substantial with extraordinary intensity, abundant notes of graphite, blueberries, blackberry liqueur, and smoky oak, this dense, chewy 2006 requires plenty of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025.
