The 2012 The Banshee Proprietary Blend is a big, full-flavored and intense wine that checks in as a blend of 40% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 25% Mourvedre. Aged 17 months in 30% new oak, with plenty of whole cluster, it has that same chalky minerality that is common in all of Scott`s wines to go with lots of blueberry, black raspberry, herbes de Provence, tar and dried flowers. Savory, full-bodied, layered and beautifully made, with high-quality tannin, it`s already drinking nicely, but will benefit from a few years of bottle age and have 10-15 years of overall longevity.
