Since founding his namesake winery in 2002, Cliff Lede has taken full advantage of his sixty acre estate in the Stags Leap District of the Napa Valley, which was replanted with the assistance of famed viticulturist David Abreu. The estate is composed of two vineyards- the Poetry vineyard and the Twin Peaks vineyard, and each are divided into blocks named after some of Lede’s favorite rock songs and albums which led to the nickname the ‘Rock Blocks.’
By the time the winery was completed in 2005, Lede perfected his winemaking techniques for his famed Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and other Bordeaux Blends. The state-of-the-art winery combines timeless methods combined with innovative technology to make famous wines like his 2013 Poetry Cabernet Sauvignon which received 100 points from Robert Parker, and we are thrilled to offer you a variety of vintages from this illustrious producer.
The Cliff Lede Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry 2007 (1.5L) is a flagship wine from Napa's Stags Leap District, showcasing the essence of a benchmark vintage. This wine is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon (86%), crafted from the terraced Poetry Vineyard, known for its elegance and power. It presents a vibrant ruby-red color with aromas of sweet black raspberry, violet, and rose petals, enriched by notes of chocolate, cedar, and earth. The palate is full-bodied, with plush, fine-grained tannins and a long, intense finish featuring hints of mocha and spices. This collectible magnum format allows for slower aging, enhancing its complexity and depth over time.
