Since their first vintage in 2005, Russell Bevan and Victoria de Crescenzo have made sure that the focus of Bevan Cellars is on the vineyards that they source their fruit from. The couple owns a 2-acre vineyard in Bennett Valley as well as procures grapes from Showket, Sugarloaf, Kick Ranch and other vineyards in the Napa and Sonoma counties. In regards to the winemaking approach, Bevan Cellars centers themselves on managing tannins, which results in wines that are decadent yet polished and perfect for your cellar.

- From a vineyard located in Oakville, off the Silverado Trail, sandwiched between two high-rent addresses, Screaming Eagle and Rudd Estate, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Harbison Vineyard is composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest other Bordeaux varietals. Copious notes of blackberries, blueberries, white chocolate, espresso, truffles and lead pencil shavings emerge from this full-bodied 2012. Along with the huge body, it offers an exuberant, expressive mouthfeel, loads of glycerin and sweet tannin. This killer effort should drink well for 16-25 years.

- Gushes with an intense mix of blackberry, black licorice and currant flavors, offering seductive, mocha-laced oak and subtle spice scents. Gains depth and builds in complexity, all the while remaining elegant and refined. Drink now through 2030.
