Monbousquet

Known for its lush style, ripe, and overall ‘New-World’ style, Château Monbousquet is an outlier in the Saint-Émilion region of Bordeaux, France. With their quality at an all-time high in recent years, the chateau is releasing wines that are now considered some of the best in the region, and as of 2006 have been ranked at Grand Cru Classé classification level. The estate is comprised of 79 acres of all small-parcel planted to mainly red varieties including Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, in descending order. Additionally, one small parcel that was planted in 1994 is secured for Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Semillon and Muscadelle that are all included in their Bordeaux Blanc bottling. All wines are unfined, unfiltered, and popular among aficionados.
