Château Lynch-Bages
Chateau Lynch-Bages is a famous Medoc estate, west of Pauillac, located in Bages, known for crafting enormous, ageable reds. The wine is a predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon blend, with of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The Dejean family developed and sold the vineyard in 1728 to Pierre Drouillard who then left it to his daughter and her husband, Thomas Lynch. Their 200+ acres are planted on a ridge of well-drained soil made up of gravel beds over limestone. Lynch-Bages is one of the most celebrated, cherished and renowned wines if the world and certainly outshine their Fifth Growth 1855 classification.

- This vintage was ideal for the rich style that this estate has made its own. This wine is full bodied and ripe with black-currant and dark berry fruits. The tannins fall into the cushioned wine with ease and richness. Of course, the wine should be aged, so wait until 2026. Cellar Selection

- Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Lynch Bages offers up crushed black berries, black cherries and dried herbs with an earthy undercurrent. The medium-bodied palate is firm and taut with lively fruit and a chewy finish. Rating: 92+
