There are 985 cases of the 2010 Napa Valley Brut from Carneros, which is 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir blend kept three years on its lees prior to being disgorged. This shows crisp tangerine skin, baked apple and brioche notes. It's crisp, medium-bodied and, like most of the others, with precise, tiny bubbles. The wine is dry and should drink well for 5-7 years. As is the norm for many of the Schramsberg cuvées, about 30% is barrel fermented, adding a degree of richness from the wood.
