The beerenauslese-styled 1998 White Riesling Preston Ranch Special Select Late Harvest (182 cases) has 13.4% residual sugar. This outstanding effort possesses a sumptuous fruit cocktail-scented nose, with plenty of honey and butter in the background. It is rich, unctuous, and lavish. The initials HSS on the label are a homage to a ZZ Top song called "Hot, Sweet, and Sticky."
