The 2010 Assemblage is a blend of 50% Malbec, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and Petit Verdot from La Consulta and Tupungato, all of them in the Uco Valley as they purchase fruit from old Malbec vineyards for this top of the range blend. The grapes fermented in inox and aged for 18 months in new Taransaud barrels. It is still young and definitely will improve in bottle, but there is good fruit depth and balance. It is medium to full-bodied, ripe but balanced, powerful but elegant, with good freshness and acidity. This is a very good blend. Drink 2015-2019.
