One of the more consistent and better made smaller (reputation-wise) estates in the southern Medoc, the 2013 Belle-Vue is a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot and a whopping 24% Petit Verdot. It exhibits elegant loamy soil notes intermixed with red and black cherries, and a touch of background wood. It is a lightweight, soft effort that achieved 13% natural alcohol. Consume it during its first 3-4 years of life.
