Tasting Notes
- V91
- (45% merlot, 28% cabernet franc and 27% cabernet sauvignon) Medium red with a hint of amber. Darker aromas of flint, minerals and woodsmoke, with a floral nuance from merlot planted on cooler soils. Sweet and lush but much less forthcoming than the Lourens River bottling, with brisk acids and stronger minerality currently keeping the fruit under wraps. But this is very long on the palate-almost magically so for young vines-and the tannins are suave.
