Possessing a touch of volatile notes, the 2013 Buxom (96% Syrah and 4% Grenache) is a downright sexy, voluptuous effort that gives up lots of plum, peach pit, violets and spice in its full-bodied and layered personality. This cuvee is made up of the top barrels, and I`d have scored it higher if not for its volatile character.
