La Chapelle de la Mission Haut Brion

In 2006, Chateau La Tour Haut-Brion changed its name to La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion as the second wine for the Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion. They produce two Semillon grape white wines called La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc (which was formerly Laville Haut-Brion) and, since 2009, La Clarté de Haut-Brion. The wines are made from grapes grown in the same vineyard, raised in the same manner, and benefit the same level of tending as those from Chateau La Mission Haut Brion. An interesting fact about the wines of La Chapelle is that a recurring word in tasting notes is “pleasure.” For the Chateau, it is important to them that their second label carry the same endearing qualities as the original estate.
