Named after two orphan brothers who were raised in Paso Robles, Claud and Dick Booker, Booker Vineyards aims to replicate the prominence that these brothers made on the region with their own wines. The Booker brothers helped to develop the region, working as farmers and assisting with manual labor, as well as being massive philanthropists for the region. One-hundred acres of the Booker brothers land was purchased by Lisa and Eric Jensen in 2001 in hopes to grow truly amazing fruit. They did in fact grow amazing fruit, and by 2005 they released their own label. The wines are mostly Rhone varieties, and are bold, ripe, and cleverly named, following the trend of most of Paso Robles.

- This is the first vintage of this wine with no Syrah in the blend. Blended of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Petit Verdot, the 2015 My Favorite Neighbor Proprietary Blend sports a deep garnet-purple color and is scented of fresh, ripe black currants, black berries and preserved plums with hints of menthol, violets, cigar box and wild thyme. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a great core of ripe, bright, seductive black fruits supported by firm, fine-grained tannins and lovely freshness, finishing long and perfumed. Mind-blowing. Rating:97+
