My first experience with the wines of Le Calvane was promising. Their superb 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 1997 Borro del Boscone, boasts an opaque purple color, super-concentrated cassis aromas and flavors, moderate tannin, and a full, thick, unctuous style. Dense and chewy, with superb ripeness, it needs 2-3 years of cellaring and should age well for 15-16 years.
