- The estate’s 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Combottes opens with good up-front richness, but then loses some intensity as the wine turns a touch ethereal on the finish, slightly exposing the alcohol. The elegant, silky finish makes up for some of the wine’s shortcomings. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2019.
