The 2012 Chardonnay Le Souvenir Sierra Madre Vineyard is another stunner from Lato. Spending 16 months in 65% new French oak, it offers serious minerality in its apple blossom, golden fruits, crushed rock and spice-driven profile. Focused, slightly restrained, beautifully pure and all-around pure class, it opens up beautifully with air, have integrated acidity and a crisp finish. Enjoy this beauty over the coming 3-4 years.
