The 2012 Chardonnay East of Eden Pisoni Vineyard is a supple, yet fresh and lively effort that has pretty citrus blossom, white flowers, flinty minerality and hints of almond paste that flow nicely to a pure, clean and lively palate feel. While normally the Pisoni Vineyard is all about power and richness, this is a decidedly supple, pure and elegant effort that has clean acidity and a focused, well-defined finish. Plan on drinking this over the coming 3-4 years.
