The 2012 Pinot Noir Mineral Springs Ranch White label comes from the upper reaches of the estate's vineyard. It includes 30% whole-cluster fruit and is aged in 50% new French oak. It has a gorgeous bouquet with beautifully integrated rose-petal scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a noticeable chocolate element on the entry (probably originating from the oak), harmonious and tender in the mouth with a long concentrated finish. It is still very backward, but I can imagine it drinking extremely well in 4 or 5 years time.

Firm in texture, with expressive blueberry, black currant and smoky spice flavors welling up nicely and persisting into a lively finish. Best from 2017 through 2022.
