- This is an intriguing cross-appellation blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 15% Petit Verdot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Malbec. It has pure black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, a touch of background oak and foresty notes, medium body, a good dollop of glycerin (alcohol is 14.6%) and a nice, fleshy finish. This polished, elegant, yet at the same time rich and powerful wine is outstanding. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
