The etched Bacchus on the backdrop of the inimitable yellow label synonymous with Maison Louis Jadot has been a hallmark of quality wines for nearly two hundred years. The profile has grown substantially since the early 19th century when the Jadot family owned only the Clos des Ursules plot. Today, Maison Jadot has vinified wines from over 100 hectares throughout the Cote d’ Or. The essence of expressing the terroirs within Burgundy is a formidable task. The mosaic created by Jadot’s winemaking team can be treasured from wine-lovers at all levels. Whether it is from a regional view spanning the Beaune and Nuits or more intimately from within crus of one village, the artisan appreciation of Jadot’s wine profile can be a life-long study. Tasting Notes

- The 2015 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Demoiselles from Jadot is a real success this year, wafting from the decanter and glass with a youthfully reticent nose of lemon oil, preserved citrus, vanilla pod, popcorn and subtle white flowers, framed by a creamy overlay of new oak which will integrate with time. On the palate, the wine is deep, full-bodied and very concentrated, with a textural attack, a chewy perception of extract, and lovely length on the finish. With time, this may come to resemble the very successful 1989 vintage. Bottled under DIAM 30.
- V94
- Pale, bright yellow. Pure but very restrained aromas of pineapple and lemon oil. Very ripe but light on its feet, conveying excellent lift and definition to its flavors of white peach, lemon and dusty stone. Offers outstanding purity and cut without any weight, not to mention alcoholic harshness. This utterly seamless, silky wine was shy and tight from the beginning and is still a baby. But despite its early austerity, it nicely showcases its balance and energy already. I`m not sure I would easily have identified the vintage as 2015.
