Co-founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has spent the last forty years perfecting its production of Merlot. Being one of the few wineries in Napa Valley that chose to perfect their Merlot rather than Cabernet Sauvignon has allowed them to focus on youthful drinkability, approachability, and smooth texture. With their estate vineyards taking over more than 400 hectares, the Merlot is considered to be one of the best in the state of California.

- A tremendous Cabernet, one of the last to come from the great 2007 vintage. Drinking perfectly now, it’s a soft, smooth sipper, with lush flavors of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, cocoa and cedar. The addition of Merlot brings a soft, mellowed mouthfeel. Picking up bottle bouquet at the age of four, it will continue to gain traction for many years. Editors' Choice

- Firm, rich, intense and layered, with loamy earth and herb-laced currant, blackberry, mineral and cedar flavors. Full-bodied, tight and focused, an impressive young wine that needs aeration. Drink now through 2021. 17,335 cases made.
