Wines such as this prove that the so-called difficult 2011 vintage produced some truly exceptional Pinots in Oregon. A ridge of chocolate runs through a core of tangy plum and berry fruit. Hints of candied citrus peel elevate both the aromas and the finishing flavors. A strong base of crisp acidity suggests that this will cellar well through 2025 or longer.
