The Winery
Fratelli Revello
Fratelli Revello has been a family-run domain since the property first planted vines in the commune of La Morra in 1954. They have operated their vines in conjunction with a fine restaurant from there on out.
Among the vines on their Piedmont estate, they produce Barolo, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, and Langhe Nebbiolo. The vineyards are managed in a classic style, all cared for, pruned, and harvested by hand. Their wines are intentionally made affordable; however they have earned big scores from critics such as Antonio Galloni from Vinous and James Suckling. Their Barolo, especially in optimal years, can age for 20+ years with proper cellaring.
Tasting Notes

- The 2011 Barolo Vigna Rocche dell'Annunziata does not live up to the high bar set by this wine in past vintages. There is a ripe or jammy note here that is distracting. It takes away from the sense of balance and elegant intensity that we anticipate finding in the greatest expressions of Nebbiolo. There are flavors of sweet blackberry preserves, followed by a touch of sour fruit on the close.
