Located most perfectly upon the alluvial fans that surround the Napa Valley, Rudd Wines thrives on its Oakville Estate.The ideal soils are made up of volcanic rock and loose stones that are the most desired for drainage. The vineyard is organically farmed, helping their wines more naturally achieve its greatest potential. Beneath the winery are tunnels upon tunnels of wine caves to age the wine in French oak barrels.The winery represents Oakville terroir at its finest with their care of the soils and production methods.

- The other red wine Leslie Rudd makes with his daughter Samantha is their Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Samantha’s has a dark color, notes of tobacco leaf and blackberries, a touch of espresso, and a rich, full-bodied, luscious style. This is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, although some Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec are added. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2038.
