The Dugat family have been winegrowers in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation since the beginning of the 17th century. Bernard Dugat and his son, Loîc are the 12th and 13th generation to exploit the unique knowledge of wine-making and working in the vines, which has been acquired over four centuries.
Tasting Notes
- WA90–92
- The 2013 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is nicely defined on the nose, not a million miles away from Bernard`s Lavaux Saint Jacques `13 at the moment. The palate is more powerful though, with very supple ripe, almost thick tannins, and a very weighty finish that feels more like a Clos-de-Bèze. This muscular Charmes-Chambertin will need several years in bottle.
