The men of Kosta Browne take nothing for granted, and when the opportune moment came to cease their dreams of crafting the most superior Pinot Noir in California, they went for it. Using their saved money made from tips at their restaurant jobs, Michael Browne and Dan Kosta purchased a half ton of Pinot Noir, a used barrel and a hand-crank stemmer-crusher and Kosta Browne was born. Starting from the bottom, they have developed relationships with growers to source ten single vineyard and three appellation wines. These flavor forward, intense, yet balanced wines have earned the praises of aficionados and critics alike. There is a 5 year wait list just to have access to the Kosta Browne mailing list; therefore you should be especially thrilled to have access to this California treasure.

The Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard 2014 hails from the Santa Lucia Highlands, a region known for its cool climate influenced by Monterey Bay. Planted in 1996, Rosella's Vineyard produces concentrated berries, particularly in this drought year. The wine showcases a rich profile with prominent flavors of plum, black cherry, and wild berries, creating a juicy and mouthwatering experience. Its texture is silky and smooth, complemented by notes of framboise and sappy herbs, along with a hint of crushed flowers. This medium to full-bodied wine is elegantly balanced with acidity and a lingering finish, aged for about 15 months in French oak. The blend primarily consists of destemmed fruit, highlighting the vineyard's character.
