Another blockbuster from this estate, the 2012 James Berry Vineyard is a cofermented blend of 68% Grenache and 32% Syrah. It offers lots of exotic red fruits, spice-box, herbes de Provence, white pepper and dried flower notes, with tons of chalky minerality, to go with a full-bodied, elegant and downright sexy style on the palate. It needs a year or two in bottle but will keep for a decade after that.
