Daou Vineyards is a California winery in the Adelaida District AVA of Paso Robles. It has a reputation for Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant Bordeaux-style blends. Daou was established in 2007 by brothers George and Daniel Daou, who had previously built a successful IT business.

- The brilliant 2012 Seventeen Forty Reserve is 70% Cabernet Franc and 30% Merlot. Exhibiting high class aromas of blackcurrants, coffee bean, crushed flowers and hints of chocolate, it flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness, building tannin and a terrific finish. In addition to all of its fruit and texture, this beauty stays lively, fresh and elegant, and shows the quality these Bordeaux blends can hit here in Paso Robles.

- The Daou brothers’ considerable and continual investments is evidence that their wines will matter for years, ensuring a wise investment today. This 70% Cabernet Franc and 30% Merlot offers aromas of blueberry and cedar. Once sipped, the tannins grab with strength before dissipating smoothly. It’s a seamless combo of spice, fruit, wood and herbs, but will evolve through at least 2025.
