Booker
Named after two orphan brothers who were raised in Paso Robles, Claud and Dick Booker, Booker Vineyards aims to replicate the prominence that these brothers made on the region with their own wines. The Booker brothers helped to develop the region, working as farmers and assisting with manual labor, as well as being massive philanthropists for the region. One-hundred acres of the Booker brothers land was purchased by Lisa and Eric Jensen in 2001 in hopes to grow truly amazing fruit. They did in fact grow amazing fruit, and by 2005 they released their own label. The wines are mostly Rhone varieties, and are bold, ripe, and cleverly named, following the trend of most of Paso Robles.
Tasting Notes

- The inaugural vintage for the cuvee, the 2013 Fulldraw is made from 48% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 17% Mourvedre that saw roughly 40% new French oak. Coming from the younger vines on the estate, it's a rock-star effort that exhibits lots of black and blue fruits, violets, pepper and saline like minerality on both the nose and palate. Rich, full-bodied, textured and ready to go, drink this beauty over the coming 5-7 years.
