La Spinetta was founded by a team of Giuseppe and Lidia Rivetti in 1977, in which their focus was on Moscato d’Asti. By 1985 though they begin to produce red wines, dipping their toes into the wide world of Barbera and Nebbiolo blends. In 2000 the first Barolo vintage was produced. Now La Spinetta produces wines breathtakingly diverse wines within Barolo, Barbaresco, and Tuscany. Learn more here and enjoy those in our cellar before they are gone!
Tasting Notes

- The 2010 Barbaresco Vigneto Gallina comes from low-yield producing old vines in Neive. The wine is immensely pleasurable and bright with beautiful aromatic intensity that shines bright from the glass. Only 900 cases are produced. This vineyard expression offers notable freshness and brightness that make it suitable for long cellar aging. This is a truly magnificent wine. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2028.
- WS92
- Raspberry and floral aromas lead off, complemented by cherry, tobacco and underbrush flavors. The elegant character and silky texture give way to assertive, pointed tannins, but this remains long and satisfying in the end. Be patient. Best from 2017 through 2029.
