Rochioli
Situated in one of the most diverse geographical land plots of the Russian River Valley, the Rochioli Vineyards and Winery is known for producing terroir-driven wines with a minimal-intervention approach. The fruit harvested from the differing blocks are singularly fermented as a means to showcase the unique vines, some of which are among some of the oldest vineyards in California. With silky Pinot Noir, rich Chardonnay and several other well thought-out wines, this family-run producer is a valuable expression of the Sonoma Valley.
Tasting Notes
- WA93–95+
- The 2013 Pinot Noir Three Corners possesses an extra level of concentration compared to its siblings. It is also more backward, structured and masculine as well as super-concentrated. Again, Tom Rochioli has pulled-off the magic of sweet tannins and well-integrated acidity and wood. This spicy, pure, rich, medium to full-bodied 2013 should drink nicely for 12-15+ years. Range: 93-95+
