Jayson Woodbridge was a successful investment banker in Canada and had an epiphany when he walked through a vineyard in Okanagan. He knew that he wanted to have his own vineyard and to create award-winning wine.
Since his debut in 2000, his 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has been living up to his motto of “stand amongst the very best or not at all’. Everything handcrafted, hand pruned, scrutinized and aligned for his desired response, near critical perfection and some of the finest wine known to man. His wines are terrific examples of Napa Cabernet and have made their way to cult status, so getting your hands on them can be difficult.
Tasting Notes
- WS90
- Offers a rich core of licorice-laced black cherry, shaded by light toasty oak, cedar and mocha. The flavors gain depth, traction, length and tannins, filling out the palate. Drink now through 2026. 400 cases made.
- V90
- Pale-medium bright red. Aromas of raspberry, brown spices and underbrush are lifted by a floral note. Silky and light on its feet, with ripe acidity framing the rich, sweet flavors of red berries, red cherry and earth. Offers good fat without excess weight, finishing with a fine dusting of tannins and very good length. Sweeter and more expansive than the 2011 bottling. Jayson Woodbridge`s pinots have gotten much subtler and more perfumed in recent vintages.
