While not in the official canon of Grand Crus, La Moutonne is definitely in grand cru territory, a parcel that is divided between Les Preuses and Vaudésir. The 2012 is very structured, dense and textured, with a strongly tannic character packed with minerality. Time will bring out its fruit and richness. Drink from 2019

A restrained and cool nose of ripe floral and lemon suffused aromas precedes the big, rich and powerful large-scaled flavors that are dense and opulent with a notably dry finish that delivers excellent length. This beautifully well-balanced effort should age well yet be approachable young too if desired thanks to the abundant mid-palate fat.
