Rochioli
Situated in one of the most diverse geographical land plots of the Russian River Valley, the Rochioli Vineyards and Winery is known for producing terroir-driven wines with a minimal-intervention approach. The fruit harvested from the differing blocks are singularly fermented as a means to showcase the unique vines, some of which are among some of the oldest vineyards in California. With silky Pinot Noir, rich Chardonnay and several other well thought-out wines, this family-run producer is a valuable expression of the Sonoma Valley.

- We can quibble over whether the cherries are red or black, or if it's persimmons or pomegranates, or if the mushrooms are fresh or sautéed, but that's the point. This wine is so complex, it initiates discussion. Fine acidity and rich tannins provide structure, and although the wine is silky enough to enjoy now, you really want to give it 6–8 years. - Offers a berry thicket scent, with earthy berry and underbrush notes and firm, chewy tannins, yet the wild edge gives this an added element of excitement.
