Scorched earth, smoke, slate, hazelnuts, dried pears and crushed flowers are some of the many notes that flow from the 2010 Chablis Fourchaume Vieilles Vignes. The old vines give the wine much of its richness and weight, yet all the elements are beautifully balanced in the glass. Although rich and weighty at the outset, the wine finds a huge, mineral dimension on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2013+.
