Formally known as Harris Estate, this vineyard is family owned by a Napa locals that is as passionate about wines as you are. Their three different vineyards throughout Calistoga range from hillside to dry farmed, to create three different Napa Cabs. Tasting Notes
- WA93
- The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Lakeview Vineyard is a bigger, rounder wine with pure dark fruit, smoke, spices and new leather, all of which come together nicely on the textured finish. This is powerful, rich and well balanced. The 2009 spent 18 months in 80% new French oak barrels. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2021.
- V92
- Lovely red berry perfume. Strong, concentrated fruit shows an almost zin-like briary, confectionery character, with hints of coffee and smoke. From a very small crop due to the lingering effects of the spring frost in 2008. The long finish features supple, sweet tannins. Plenty of power and richness here but the least obviously structured today and thus a crowd-pleaser already.
