Released only in magnum, the 2012 Syrah BMT is mostly Syrah, yet has roughly 25% of Colson Canyon Grenache in the blend. It sports an inky purple color to go with awesome notes of black raspberry, blackberry, liquid violets and wild flowers. This flows to a full-bodied, layered and seamless beauty that has perfect integration of its fruit, tannin and alcohol, solid concentration and terrific length. As with most 2012s, it’s already approachable and hard to resist.
