Buccella

Buccella is derived from the Latin word for “mouthful,” and a mouthful is exactly what Buccella wines evoke with their big, bold, concentrated layers that make them so luxuriously flavorful. The team at Buccella is especially interested in telling a story with origins that carry depth, as well as grapes that are lush and rich such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The first vintage of these Bordeaux varieties from Carneros was in 2002 when landscapers Bill and Alicia Deem honeymooned in Napa. They established long-term leases on vineyard plots across the valley and quickly after began making their own wine under the Buccella label. The Deem family’s wines took advantage of what the Napa terroir had to offer and their wines became regarded for their colossal fruit, tannins, and power which gave them high scores with Robert Parker and aficionados from all over.
