Good medium ruby. Deep, rich plum and spicy oak aromas are complicated by violet, mocha and leather nuances. Plush and very smooth, with sweet berry, leather and soil flavors spreading out to saturate the palate without any leaving any impression of heaviness. Brisk acidity and a faint green element give this wine good inner-mouth lift. The tannins are a bit dusty but this is a nicely balanced, rich wine with a reasonably light touch.
