Gazin
Château Gazin is one of the oldest within the Right Bank, dating back to 1772. When Château Gazin fell into the control of Nicholas de Bailliencourt, the harvesting was switched from the mass producing with, at the time low quality and trendy mechanical practices back to manual. Reducing yields significantly and increasing the quality of grapes that were harvested. Now we are able to share with you all the delicious outcome of these alterations in the winemaking process, as the success it truly is.

- A big, backward, full-bodied Pomerol, the 2000 Gazin appears to have added weight as well as structure. Still young, it exhibits beautiful notes of sandy, loamy soil intermixed with mulberries, black cherries, cedar, and licorice. Tightly wound, powerful, and rich, with noticeable oak, it needs another 3-5 years of bottle age, and should drink well for two decades. Rating: 92+
