Located most perfectly upon the alluvial fans that surround the Napa Valley, Rudd Wines thrives on its Oakville Estate.The ideal soils are made up of volcanic rock and loose stones that are the most desired for drainage. The vineyard is organically farmed, helping their wines more naturally achieve its greatest potential. Beneath the winery are tunnels upon tunnels of wine caves to age the wine in French oak barrels.The winery represents Oakville terroir at its finest with their care of the soils and production methods.

- Leslie Rudd's beautiful, fully mature 2001 Rudd Estate Proprietary Red (a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot) boasts a dense plum/purple hue as well as a sweet bouquet of chocolate, creme de cassis, truffles, damp earth and wood smoke. Opulent and medium to full-bodied with sweet tannins and low acidity, it can be enjoyed now and over the next 15+ years.
- WS91
- Supple, with complex currant, anise, mineral, herb and sage flavors that are well-defined, adding hints of espresso and fresh earth. The tannins are ripe and fine-grained and the finish reveals extra dimensions of depth and complexity.
