Williams Selyem
Ed Selyem and Burt Williams pursued their winemaking dream in a garage in Forestville, California. Their first vintage was produced in 1982 and within five years, their demand exceeded supply and a wait list was created. Selyem fans had to wait, at times, up to three years to purchase one of these delectable bottles! They quickly gained cult status and set a new standard for Pinot Noir. Now the Dyson family owns the winery and is still created outstanding Pinot Noir.

- A little bit more direct than the other highly rated Pinots from Williams Selyem, this one is generously fruited and very rich with both suppleness and a touch of silk that carry it across the palate. Its style might tempt early drinking, but the very long finish and good balance will earn it a place in the cellar for a half decade's rest. Of course, if you want to drink one wine from this special group, this one might be it if only because it is so delightfully deep even now.
