Clos l`Eglise

Dating back to the 19th century, Clos l'Église is a Right Bank Bordeaux estate located in Pomerol. Back in the 18th century, Clos l'Église had one of the larger vineyards in Pomerol—14 hectares—until the succession that led to the division of the estate. The division of the estate led to modern Clos l'Église run by the Rouchet family and the other plot would become Château l'Église-Clinet run by the Mauléon family. In 1997, Clos l'Église was bought by the Garcin family for a record price at the time. Clos l'Église vineyards are primarily composed of Merlot but also a hint of Cabernet Franc. Vintages to look out for: 2016, 2015, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2006, 2005, 2001, 2000 and 1998.
