Cristom Vineyards

Based in the Eola-Amity Hills in Oregon’s lush Willamette Valley is Cristom Vineyards who specializes in crafting elite and terroir-driven Pinot Noir. Paul Gerrie, originally from Pittsburgh, purchased property in 1991 and their first commercial vintage was in 1992. They partnered with Mike Etzel, of Beaux Frères, for consulting and are now widely considered one of the best producers in all of Oregon. Their philosophy is subtle, which begins with respect for its estate locations and meticulous farming techniques focusing on quality over quantity. Their famous estate vineyards include Marjorie, Louise, Jessie, and Emilia, and each location varies in soil-type, elevation, and exposure to Oregon’s temperate climate. These variances provide unique and special differences in the final result of each wine but all really show why Oregon Pinot Noir is among the greatest in the world.
