Since 1873, his family has been cultivating and producing low yield, high quality wines from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Be sure that even when the wine market sees a surplus of fine wines for sale, Clos de Papes had no problem finding suitable, eager homes for their product. Hailing the highest scores and kindest words from the wine world’s most respected critics, Clos des Papes most recent accolade was being deemed Wine Spectators #10 wine of the year in their annual Top 100. These wines are rich, heady and hard to find due to the small production. Vintages to look out for: 2001, 1995, 1994, 1990, 1989, 1988, 1985 and 1978.
