Hall

Hall Wines was founded by Kathryn Walt Hall and her husband, Craig after she inherited vineyards from her father who was a grape-grower in Mendocino County for several decades. The winery is located just south of downtown St. Helena in California’s Napa Valley, and they specialize in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. Half of the wines come from the estate vineyards surrounding the winery which is about 300 acres, while the rest come from growers throughout Rutherford, Atlas Peak, and the Alexander Valley.

Grapes are handpicked in each vineyard, and the producer uses modern winemaking techniques to produce their traditional New World style of wine. Perhaps their most well-known wine is the Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon from the Artisan Collection, which is aged for 22 months in 75 percent new French oak. The 2012 vintage was recently awarded 98 points by Robert Parker.
