Based in Les Estournelles, Gevrey Chambertin, family-ran Domaine Frédéric Esmonin produces some of most consistent, high-quality wines in all of Burgundy. Their wines are elegant and approachable young, but are structured enough for the long haul.

Their 10 acres of vineyards keep production extremely small at anywhere from 75-300 cases each year. They pick their grapes only when they reach ideal ripeness and carefully age their wines in French Oak barrels after cold maceration. Their Grand and Premier Cru bottlings, especially in elite years, are among the greatest wines in the Gevrey. While they aren’t among the most well-known domaines in Burgundy, they are certainly making a name for themselves.
